Kan We Help received 213 reports of dog bites that occurred from February 2004 to January 2006
The Susanville Chief of Police reports only 22 dog bites for 2004 and 25 for 2005. Somehow he did not include the dog bites or calls handled directly by the Susanville Animal Control Officer.
Lassen County "reported" only 33 total animal bites for 2004. (67% came from the City of Susanville and the City of Susanville eliminated their highly trained animal control officer).
